How to Lose Love Handles Routines

One of the most effective techniques I eventually found when I started on my quest to learn how to lose love handles was a combination of weight and interval training. However, in order to get rid of those love handles a little hard work is required and the following are just a few workout routines taken from one of the most effective guides in helping you get rid of love handles, or any type of body fat, and that is the Turbulence Training guide from Craig Ballantyne.

The following advanced training workouts will take around 30 minutes and will help you burn calories as well as strengthen all the major muscle groups in the body.

NOTE: The workouts should only be done if you are initially in good physical condition. I am not a medical practitioner so please consult your own doctor about starting the routines to ensure you are fit to do them.

The workout ‘circuit’ consists of 8 different exercises (called a Set) and you’ll need to do 3 Sets in total, resting for 60 seconds between each Set. This is a pretty intense workout routine for more intermediate types, and if you are at a beginner stage you can learn a lot more of the following in Craig’s book. But for now you can cut back on the number of reps for each exercise.

Intermediate Workout
- Jumping Jacks – 50 reps
- Prisoner Squat – 20 reps
- Push-up – 15 reps
- Bulgarian Split Squat – 12 reps per side
- Bodyweight Row – 20 reps
- Twisting Lunges – 12 reps per side
- Mountain Climbers – 15 reps per side
- High Knees Running in Place – 20 reps per side

Beginner Workout
- Jumping Jacks – 20 reps
- Prisoner Squat – 10 reps
- Push-up – 5-10 reps (Or as many as you do. No more than 10.)
- Bulgarian Split Squat – 6 reps per side
- Bodyweight Row – 10 reps
- Twisting Lunges – 6 reps per side
- Mountain Climbers – 7 reps per side
- High Knees Running in Place – 5-10 reps per side

With the training routines outlined above you will be getting what’s known as a high intensity cardio workout. This means you are doing routines which will really get your heart rate up and you’ll certainly get a sweat on.
